Course
Guitar Summer School offers classical guitarists a unique opportunity to participate in a varied programme of music making that allows students time to develop their playing and musicianship. Students work in a non-competitive and supportive environment, performing in ensembles both large and small. The course is suitable for players of all levels of ability but note that it is not suitable for complete beginners or someone who doesn’t read music at all.

Typical days schedule
Monday 4th -Sunday 10th AUGUST 2025

Large Orchestra
All course participants join the large guitar orchestra to work on a selected piece in preparation for the final concert

Morning refreshments

Small ensembles
Course participants join their opointed small ensembles (8-10 players) to work on their group repertoire in preparation for the final student concert

Home prepared food to suit all dietry requirements

Different everyday
This session varies each day during the course between classes, mindfulness session, talks guitar building and techniques, and student performance
